Funding for Children's Pallative Care (England)
The Government has announced that it is making £30 million available to help support improvements to childrens palliative care in England. The funding is available to NHS organisations as well as voluntary organisations that meet the condition set out in section 64 of the Health Services and Public Health Act 1968. Applications will be considered for all aspects of the child and young persons journey through the ACT care pathway. Applications should be focused on areas where existing community children's services are less developed The funding available is primarily for revenue expenditure although applications for capital costs of up to £5,000 is eligible. There is no specific limit on funding applications although the minimum grant that can be applied for is £5,000. The closing date for applications is the 30th September 2010.
