Oct' 09 -CRUNCH TIME- A report on third sector local resilience action planning activities

AUGUST 2009:

NAVCA’s Local Resilience Action Plan (LRAP) framework has enabled their members to provide them with some of the most detailed evidence to date of how the recession is affecting local third sector organisations and community groups.

A clear message is that the recession is not affecting everyone in the same way. Some communities are suffering more than others just as some third sector organisations are suffering more than others. This research suggests that the areas most affected are those already facing high levels of deprivation; the very places that have not shared in the economic prosperity of the past 15 years.
