Care Farming West Midlands - Development Officer
Part time 2.5 days per week £25,000 per annum pro rata.

Care farming is an inspiring innovation aimed at helping the most excluded and vulnerable people in society by integrating care and meaningful work within the supportive natural environments of farms, woodlands and market gardens. Care farms are rapidly being recognised as an innovative way to deliver localised health and social care, especially in rural areas.

CFWM has recently formed as a social enterprise to spread the practice of care farming in the West Midlands. Our plans have received funding approval and we now need to strengthen our as we develop
the implementation phase.

You will have experience of one or more of the following: health or social care, personalisation, land based businesses, land based education.

Your main role in the establishment of care farms across Worcestershire will be to stimulate demand for paid places on quality accredited care farms. You will also guide farmers through the planning and training process to establish successful and sustainable social enterprises.

Networking and clear communication ability is essential as is the commitment to introduce care farming to people and groups currently unfamiliar with the potential of care farming. For example, this may include carers groups, mental health locality teams and schools.

Reporting to CFWM Development Manager you will be part of the team that establishes 20 care farms across West Mercia over 3 years.
