2 December 2010, Euston, London
6 December 2010, Central Manchester
9 December 2010, Birmingham
NCB's Speak In is working with Participation Works to deliver a series of free training events across England to build the capacity of smaller BAME and faith-based organisations and assist them to engage children effectively in the work of their organisations.
The aim of the training course is to introduce participants to a selection of training methods and tools to build skills and knowledge in increasing children and young people's effective participation in decision making.
By the end of the course delegates will:
1) have a basic understanding of the legal and policy context for children and young people's participation in decision-making
2) recognise how personal values and attitudes affect relationships with Children and young people
3) be aware of the many different approaches of hearing children and young people and supporting them to be heard and taken seriously
4) have an action plan for making changes with achievable goals and targets
