Final Chance to Attend Worcestershire County Council's BUDGET CONSULTATION MEETING

Please find below an invitation to the County Council budget meeting. As you may be aware, each year the Council holds a series of meetings with representatives from the community to discuss its proposed budget plans and the possible impact this may have locally. The meeting for Voluntary and Community Sector groups will take place at County Hall, Worcester on Tuesday, 25 January 2011 at 6.30p.m. This is particlularly important at this great time of changes/shifting and reducing budgets, and in light of the recent Green Paper considering greater commsioning with the VCS. We would welcome the opportunity to talk to you about the Council’s proposals for 2011/12 and answer any questions you may have at the meeting. It may be helpful to read the report on next year’s Budget and Council Tax to the County Council's Cabinet meeting on 16 December 2010. There are a limited number of places available at this meeting, so we would be grateful if you could send only one representative from your organisation, who can feed back to colleagues. We will operate on a first come, first served basis so a speedy response is recommended. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available from 6.00p.m.
