Health and Vulnerable People
The Home Office has announced that it is seeking applications for funding for Independent Sexual Violence Advisers (ISVA) services in the voluntary and community sector and in sexual assault referral centres (SARCs).
A total of £1.72 million will be made available per year for the next four years to fund work with victims of recent and historic serious sexual crimes to enable them to access the services they need in the aftermath of the abuse they have experienced. The purpose of Home Office funding for these services has always been for support to be embedded in local service provision.
Priority will therefore be given to bids that can demonstrate some degree of match funding (either cash input from an independent authority or management and overhead costs supplied by the agency from their own reserves or fundraising), or that longer term sustainable funding has been secured or can be secured to support the ISVA post through the four year period.
Eligible organisations can apply for grants of up to £20,000 per year (£80,000 over the four year period).
