January 2010 - Connecting to Opportunities funding programme

Connecting to Opportunities is a programme funded through Advantage West Midlands to address Worklessness and economic inclusion in the region. Partners would be happy to note that Worcestershire has been successfully awarded £880,000 over next four years.
The project will primarily focus on helping/supporting following client groups:
Interested organisations are invited to submit Expression of Interest and subsequently Full Applications to deliver the programme in the most deprived areas of the County. The first round of applications are invited for the period between January 2010 – March 2010.

The fund available for this interim period is £45,000 and because of the short time scale the organisations are requested to submit Expression of Interest Forms by 19th January 2010. Successful applicants for this round, besides fulfilling the criteria, will primarily be selected on the basis of the pace of the commencement of project delivery. The successful organisations will be asked to submit the Full Application by 26th January 2010.

(Please note the limited time for expressions of interest/applications has been noted and unavoidable, future timescales will be increased to aid application)

Unsuccessful applicants in this round might be considered in the next period of funding which will run from April 2010 to March 2011. The fund for this period will be greater as it will be available for the whole year.
