NAVCA
NAVCA is the national voice of local third sector infrastructure in England. We aim to ensure communities are well served by the local third sector by supporting our members and their work with over 160,000 local groups and organisations.
NAVCA believes that local voluntary and community action is vital for healthy and inclusive communities.
RAWM
Regional Action West Midlands was established in 2000 as a result of Government policy to move decision making powers and resources from Central Government departments to newly created English regions. The West Midlands is one of those nine English regions.
We exist to make sure that the voluntary and community sector is involved in the decision making and resource allocation processes.
Partners for Social Enterprise
Partners for Social Enterprise is an active cross-sector partnership of organisations involved in the development and support of social enterprise in Herefordshire, Shropshire and Worcestershire. Partners for Social Enterprise has been operating since 2004 and is recognised as a model of successful collaboration.
A PSE Vision for Shropshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire:
“To support a growing, sustainable social enterprise community throughout the rural wet of the West Midlands.”
Office of the Third Sector
As part of the Cabinet Office, the Office of the Third Sector (OTS) leads work across government to support the environment for a thriving third sector (voluntary and community groups, social enterprises, charities, cooperatives and mutuals), enabling the sector to campaign for change, deliver public services, promote social enterprise and strengthen communities. The OTS was created at the centre of government in May 2006 in recognition of the increasingly important role the third sector plays in both society and the economy.
Worcestershire County Council VCS Unit
The VCS Unit works with VCS organisations throughout the county, acting as a link between groups and funding providers, supporting the infrastructure of the VCS and managing the County Council’s VCS grants scheme. The VCS Unit works according to the terms of the Worcestershire Compact.
Worcestershire Partnership
If time travel were possible, we could zoom ten years into the future and see what Worcestershire would be like.
The Worcestershire Partnership does just that. In order to tackle issues that affect Worcestershire residents’ quality of life - such as crime, health, jobs, education and transport - we need to work together. These issues are connected and we believe that we can address them better by working together, sharing ideas and pooling our resources.
The Worcestershire Partnership brings together local government, public services such as health, learning providers, police and probation, voluntary and community organisations and local businesses within Worcestershire. The work of the Partnership is based on a shared common purpose and good will.
