Managing Contracts

Bursaries may be available in cases where attendance would not otherwise be possible

This practical one day course looks at the organisational and practical issues involved in bidding for, planning and managing contracts and service agreements with public sector agencies. The course is designed for voluntary sector managers and trustees and through practical work and case studies it will focus on:

• What is different about contracts?
• The legal issues involved
• Costing for contracts – including full cost recovery
• Staffing and organisational issues
• Getting the relationship right.

Alan Lawrie, has been an independent consultant for over 12 year. Prior to that he worked in the voluntary sector as a development officer, trainer and manager and then moved into management roles in the public sector.
