Planning Ahead – a Strategy for your Organisation

£5 for organisations with no paid staff; £30 for other voluntary sector organisations
Bursaries may be available in cases where attendance would not otherwise be possible

This course focuses on how voluntary organisations can plan ahead and overcome short term uncertainty. The course will introduce a range of tested techniques to help staff and management committees identify issues, develop options and agree future strategy. Course content will include:

• Planning ahead
• Managing growth
• Developing an effective organisation
• Building a strong management committee
• Planning strategic change

Jan Mellor is a partner in Mellor & Lawrie Management Consultancy. Previously she was a Director of a national voluntary agency and worked in education and local government. She is a trustee of a local voluntary agency. She specialises in management development, work with management committees and project management.
