Professor Michael Clarke to speak at Voluntary Representatives' Listening Event
VCS Representatives’ Listening Event – ‘The Value of Representation’
On behalf of WIC (Worcestershire Infrastructure Consortium) I would like to invite you to attend a cheese and wine VCS Representatives ‘Listening Event’ on:
Monday 21st September 2009 6.30pm – 8.30pm
Age Concern Herefordshire and Worcestershire
Malvern Gate
Bromwich Road
Worcester
WR2 4BN
Professor Michael Clarke, the Chair of Worcestershire Partnership, has agreed to join us to discuss the Voluntary and Community Sector’s valuable role within The Partnership; Professor Clarke will also be available for a Q and A session. This event will cover the topic ‘The Value of Representation’ and will also be a good time to share experiences of representation over the past year.
With your help, and consultation from the event, we aim to produce a ‘VCS Value of Representation’ briefing sheet which will be signposted to via October’s edition of the quarterly magazine ‘The Voice’. Secondly, we will aim to listen to, and record the experiences of VCS Representatives over the last few months in terms of:
Perceived impact on The Partnership
General shared experience
Challenges or difficulties
We would also like to facilitate a brief session on the importance of feeding back to the sector – and the implications if we don’t’ begin to do this.
A link to a map to the venue follows:
