Twice a year, in March and in October, the Volunteering Hub, on behalf of the Worcestershire Infrastructure Consortium, organises the Worcestershire Volunteering Forum.
Worcestershire Volunteer Forum is an arena for Volunteer Coordinators to come together to discuss and propose county wide volunteering strategies and to continuously develop their knowledge on issues that they face every day when running their volunteer programmes. If you are a Volunteer Coordinator/ Volunteer Manager or you are involved in the management of volunteers come the Forum to meet and discuss strategic and practical issues related to volunteering.
The theme of each Forum is chosen in consultation with the participants and/or as a response to a topical issue.
At each Forum we invite inspirational speakers from a specialist organisation that brings in their expertise, followed by workshops where we explore good practice on managing volunteers. Participants have the opportunity to network and to share concerns or success stories with their fellow Volunteers Coordinators, while gaining new insights that will support them to work successfully on their own volunteering programme.
The location changes around the county to maximise attendance.
The Forum is free of charge. We would like to encourage the participation of smaller groups in particular, who are often not able to attend major conferences due to costs, but who would really appreciate support in developing ‘Best Practice’ in how they work with volunteers.
If you would like to be added to our mailing list and to receive more information about the next Volunteer Forum please contact your local Volunteer Centre.
Funded with the support of Capacity Builders.
