Wednesday 15th September 2010, 2.00pm – 4.00pm at Sight Concern Worcestershire, The Bradbury Centre, 2, Sansome Walk, Worcester
This is a time of great change for the NHS generally and for NHS Worcestershire. This is reflected in the recent production of the NHS White Paper and the subsequent announcement of the restructure of NHS Worcestershire. These changes will have a significant impact on how the health services are commissioned and delivered, and this in turn will influence the services and delivery of health and social care by voluntary and community sector organisations.
One of WAVOCC’s roles in the sector is leadership on such issues, especially in a time of great uncertainty. With that in mind, we would like to invite you to a consultation event to be held at Sight Concern, The Bradbury Centre, on 15th September. At this event we will aim to collate and coordinate your views on the NHS White Paper in time to present to the RAWM (Regional Action West Midlands) consultation event on 17th September 2010. We have also invited a key speaker (to be confirmed) from NHS Worcestershire to discuss the potential restructure of the organisation. Invitations to this event have also been sent to the Co-ordinators of the developing GP consortia in Worcestershire, who will be leading on future health and social care commissioning. This is your opportunity to place the good work and practice of the Voluntary and Community Sector in these individuals’ minds.
Please complete the attached reply slip by Wednesday 8th September to reserve a place at this worthwhile and important event.
