Worcestershire Connections gives opportunities for voluntary and community sector groups and social enterprises to help people furthest from employment
We need voluntary and community sector organisations and social enterprises to help people furthest from employment to develop personal confidence.
A total of £103,000 is available for organisations to bid for. The money is from the Worcestershire Connections programme, which is the local version of Advantage West Midlands' Connections to Opportunities scheme.
The programme is designed to address worklessness and to help those who are economically inactive and/or furthest away from the job market.
Projects should deliver outreach and engagement activities for disengaged people and should take place between mid-August 2010 and the end of March 2011.
Client groups to be helped by the projects are 8 ex-offenders, 12 lone parents and 20 Incapacity Benefit claimants.
How to apply
Interested voluntary and community sector organisations and social enterprises are invited to submit an expression of interest form by 4pm on Tuesday 22 June 2010.
Should your expression of interest be successful, full applications will need to be submitted by 4pm on Tuesday 20 July 2010.
